there are two main reasons why baby's spleen increase in size:
1. normal growth: Baby's spleen actually goes through a period of normal growth after birth.
in the womb ,the baby relies on it's mother's liver for many functions , including filtering blood.
After birth, The baby's spleen takes on this responsibility,so it naturally gets bigger in the first few months of life, this is normal.
2.in some cases,an enlarged spleen in a baby can be sign of an underlying medical condition,it could be Infection, blood disorder or a problem with liver.
ideally, the Normal size should be less than 6.5cm at age between 3-6 months.
