Q.

baby weight is 8 kg at the age of 18 months.. birth weight is 1.25kg.. how to increase weight.. as I am already trying multiple things to improve weight.. but no improvement seen

A. it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen. it also depends upon the diet the child is taking. so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the child requires any health supplements. the child should be given differentr flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount. you can add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help fin improving the weight of the child. you can go through many recipes for children in different flavour and taste for your child on firstcry

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and as baby birth weight was very low and it is better to ask your local child doctor for vitamins and supplements after evaluation and also add eggs chicken cheese ragi porridge soaked nuts fresh fruits and vegetables and dairy products in diet along with home made food which you are making for other family members.
