Continue breastfeeding or formula feeding regularly, as it is still the main source of nutrition. Along with that, start giving energy-dense homemade foods like mashed banana, boiled and mashed potato, rice with dal, ragi porridge, and well-cooked khichdi with a little ghee.
Feed small portions 2–3 times a day and gradually increase to 3 meals plus snacks. You can add healthy fats like ghee or a few drops of oil to increase calories. Include mashed fruits and vegetables, and introduce new foods one at a time.
Avoid force feeding—be patient and follow your baby’s hunger cues. Also ensure proper sleep and active play. If your baby is not gaining weight consistently or seems weak, consult a pediatrician for proper guidance.
