Let the child participate in meal preparations such as he or she can help in setting up the table or select the vegetables for meal. Give the child a bowl and a spoon to eat and let him or her feed himself or herself. Let him make a mess and let him play with the food. This is how he or she will learn to eat on his or her own by touching, playing and finally tasting the food. Offer his or her favourites along with new foods that you want to introduce. Do not force the child to eat.
