POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due this month3 months agoA. It is common for babies to develop small red or white bumps (called "daani" in Hindi) on their face, especially during the first few months. These are usually due to baby acne, heat rashes, or milk residue. Baby acne is harmless and often caused by maternal hormones still present in the baby's body. It usually clears up on its own without any treatment. However, to soothe your baby's skin, you can gently clean the face with plain lukewarm water twice a day and pat it dry with a soft towel—avoid scrubbing or using adult creams. You can apply a mild, fragrance-free baby moisturizer or natural options like coconut oil or Aloe vera gel (pure and preservative-free), but only in a small amount to avoid clogging the pores. Avoid using any medicated creams or powders unless prescribed by a pediatrician. If the rash worsens, spreads, or seems itchy or infected, it’s best to consult a doctor to rule out allergies or other conditions.
