Q.
Baby is in his 9th month and he always tries to itch his ear. We try to clean the inner ear but couldn't do it properly as we don't want to risk. plz advise

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children3 years agoA. Generally when babies discover their ear they used to scratch it or play with it. Other possible reasons can be due to itching or wax built up in the ear. If none of these seem to be the reason there could be an ear infection and it's good to consult with your pediatrician once. Also , You have to get the ear wax cleaned by ur Pediatrician and do not try cleaning the baby's ear wax at home. The doctor will use a small surgical tool to clean it. If the wax is very deep then he may remove it after prescribing an ear drops for couple of days to soften the wax.
