But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be donjhe if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .
