A. Babies typically reach the milestone of holding their heads steady by around 3 to 4 months. By this age, their neck muscles are usually strong enough to support their heads when they are sitting with assistance. Most babies begin to sit with some support (like propping them up or using a Boppy pillow) between 4 to 6 months. By 6 to 8 months, many babies can sit independently without support. However, this can vary a bit, as each baby develops at their own pace.
