Q.

At what age the child starts sleeping throughout night without waking up for milk in between? My son wakes up at least twice/thrice in the night for milk. He is hungry even after 2 hours of having proper meal -lunch or dinner. Isn't this gap too short to demand for food again?

A. sleeping pattern in small children changes from time to time but will improve with increasing age of the child you have to just see for any environmental factor which is affecting the sleep like temperature variations as well as the child might be having some digestion problem or breathing difficulty due to nasal blockage has to be looked into. if the growth of the child is proper do not worry much about the sleeping pattern of the child as it always improve with time you can increase the zphysical activity during the daytime as well as avoid more sleeping time during the day time and this will help in improving the night time sleeping time .

A. For breastfed children, night weaning might be an option from 12 months. For formula-fed children, you can consider phasing out night feeds from 6 months. If you choose to wean your baby gradually, Dr. suggests cutting down the amount of milk they're getting at each night feeding over a period of a few weeks. Reduce the number of ounces your baby is taking for each night feed every few days until they're no longer feeding at night.
