A. Cow's milk should be introduced only when the baby turns one year old. Once the baby turns one year old, you can start giving whole cow's milk and milk products like ghee in small amounts, butter, cheese, curd and home made paneer. Cow's milk has less iron content when compared to breast milk or iron fortified formula milk. Babies in their first year of life need more iron for their growth and development. Introducing cow's milk before one year of age can cause iron deficiency anemia in babies.
