Q.

At the time of my child birth her weight was 2.5kg and now she is 6months old and weight is 6 kg. Is the weight is ok?

A. yes it seems fine it should double the birth weight by 5 months of age and triple by 1 year of age Weight gain depeens upon birth weight and maturity of the baby if the baby is active and feeding adequately don't worry about it feed for 10 to 15 min from each side

A. Ideally, in the initial months, 140-200 gms weight gain is considered fine and by 5th month, it should double the birth weight. As per that, your baby's weight is increasing and it is good, Now, in 6 months, you can also include semi solid and pureed foods for complete nutrition and healthy weight gain.
