This is very important for building the immunity also.
Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc.
Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most common.
Supplements likehg iron supplements and multivitamin with lysine like syp zincovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetite.
Diet vcounselling is also very important .

Not asking for food is due to low appetite. Give natural appetizers like coconut water, jeera water, jeera water ,curd with mint etc to increase the appetite of your baby.
This will help to boost hunger and desire to eat.
