#asktotheexpert hello doctor my baby is 2 year 8 months old today she get typhoid vaccine after two hours she start crying because she feel pain in leg not moving and from the evening she has fever 100 is it normal plz advice

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum z4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine feverz usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

Fever after vaccination is very normal you can give paracetamol to the child after every six hours and you can keep an ice cube or ice pack on to the area where the vaccination has been given it is going to help in settling down pain and swelling into that Illu
