Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after diagnosis.it may be any infective  or allergic.it is not so related to food items like banana etc.but seasonal changes may aggravate. 
if with fever too ,calpol can be given three times a day.give steam inhalation to relieve blocked nose and nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times.
Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given according to the type of cough .self medication is not advisable. if the cough is productive you can give ascoril-ls syrup for now only n continue in proper doses only after doctor's guidance of saw.avoid refrigerated items and give only simple home-made preparations as required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptoms resolve.

Give turmeric milk twice daily 
Give tulsi leaves lemon and honey 
Offer different varieties of food fruits vegetable pulses whole grains milk products in different shape colours patterns to make meal more interesting children are fussy eater at this age its all normal and common you can give food in puree liquid form or give some juice soup milkshake etc 
Consult with your doctor in person for proepr physical examination and treatment 
Use saline nasal drops
