#asktheexperts why is such that baby has to give pressure to pass poo or motion , is it ok , my baby has to give a lot of pressure

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age.
sometimes this can continue for onef year of age also.
it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child.
the sensatiofn is new for the child that's why the child is crying
if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination

yes it is normal to apply pressure while passing out motion or gas.
If there is pain in stomach due to gas then u can give gastica drops to ur baby.
This will help to expel gas from stomach
