Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. cough and cold medicine is given according to the requirement and examination so do not give any medicine without medical consultation. if given without consultation coughing medicine can aggravate the problem. you can go for home remedies like tulsi ginger (honey is added when child is more than 1 year of age) combination which can be dilutedf with water and given frequently to the child. also you can give turmeric with milk one or two times everyday. give warm wcater to drink as well as nasal saline drops frequently. give warm diet try to prevent temperature variations around the child that is from hot to cold and cold to hot environment

Hi mommy Offer different varieties of food fruits vegetable pulses whole grains milk products in different shape colours patterns to make meal more interesting children are fussy eater at this age its all normal and common you can give food in puree liquid form or give some juice soup milkshake etc Use saline nasal drops Maintain hydration
