At that time you can also start giving water but it is always preferable to avoid using salt sugar and honey till 1 year.
Continue breastfeeding the baby but you should make sure that you are either giving breastfeed or formula Milk but not animal milk before 1 year.
You can give rice porridge Ragi porridge mashed soft fruits like Banana Chiku Apple Puree and other seasonal fruits like mangoes, watermelons etc.

well ,as a child is 5 months old,it is advisable to give breasfeeding only
after completion of 6 months age,you can start giving such things.
so whenever you start ,you can give fruits like apple,pear ,banana etc in pureed or well mashed form
