At 29 weeks of a twin pregnancy, the “ideal” weight can vary quite a bit depending on whether the twins are identical/fraternal, their growth pattern, and your doctor’s growth charts. On average, at 29 weeks, each baby usually weighs about: 1.1 to 1.4 kg each (approximately 2.4 to 3.1 pounds) So for twins, a combined estimated fetal weight is often around: 2.2 to 2.8 kg total Twin babies are often a little smaller than singleton babies in the third trimester, and that can still be completely normal.
