A. For a breastfed baby, yellow, mustard-colored, and seedy or loose stools are completely normal. Breast milk is easily digested, so it's common for babies to pass frequent, loose stools, especially in the early months. The color can range from yellow to light green at times, which is usually not a concern unless accompanied by foul smell, mucus, or blood. As long as your baby is feeding well, gaining weight, and not showing signs of discomfort or dehydration, loose stools are normal and not diarrhea. If you notice sudden changes, consult your pediatrician.
