#asktheexperts Today my baby received his 45-day (1½-month) vaccination at the government hospital. His leg has become swollen, and he has been crying a lot. We applied an ointment containing heparin and benzyl nicotinate (Thermohem ointment), but the pain hasn't reduced yet. He still cries even when he moves his leg. We also tried applying a cold compress (ice), but it hasn't helped much.
Are there any other options to reduce the pain and swelling? Will the lump at the injection site go away on its own? Also, how long will it take for the pain to subside?

Usually it goes away on its own within two or three days but what you are doing right now is great continue with this thing at least five or six times in the day which will be great and you can also give medicine for fever even if there’s no fever because it works like a good painkiller
