How to Give Suji to Baby (First Time):
1. Start with a small quantity
Begin with 2–3 spoons to see how your baby reacts.
2. Simple Suji Porridge Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 tsp suji (semolina) 1/2 tsp ghee (optional) Water or formula milk or breast milk (about 1/2 cup)
Method:
Dry roast suji in a pan until light golden. Add water and cook well till it becomes soft and mushy. Let it cool slightly. Add breast milk or formula at the end (do not boil after adding milk).
Optional: You can add a pinch of cardamom or mashed banana for taste (after a few days of introducing plain suji).
Important Tips: Give it in the morning or noon to monitor for allergies. Avoid sugar, salt, or cow’s milk. Watch for any signs of allergy like rash, diarrhea, or vomiting (very rare with suji).
