This is normal and not a cause for panic, but maintaining proper hygiene is important. Parents should keep the area clean and dry, avoid harsh soaps or over-cleaning, use comfortable cotton clothing, and gently distract the baby instead of scolding. If the behavior becomes excessive or there are signs of irritation or infection, a pediatrician should be consulted.
