A. hand, foot, and mouth disease is a self-limiting viral infection with red skin eruptions primarily on joints, buttocks, and around the mouth, along with oral ulcers. symptoms are treated with calamine lotion for skdin eruptions, zytee/dologel for oral ulcers before meals, antihistamines for itching, and paracetamol for fever and pain. the disease typically resolves within 1 to 1.5 weeks. keep the child away from others for at least a week as it is contagious. d
