#asktheexperts please suggest healthy food chart for 1 year babies

A. Dear parent, for 1 year babies, give all family foods to your child the way you prepare at your house. Give homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. At least 500 ml of milk every day including milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. You can give eggs and non veg foods. Add powdered nuts like almonds to baby’s food. Add ghee to every meal. Give 4 to 5 meals a day and up to one katori every time. Continue to breastfeed.

A. Start to give all foods you cook at home. try to give only family foods. You can start giving all family foods that you cook at home . Everything that you have can be given to baby with less spice and less oil. Try to. Make it a habit to feed all foods. Esle they may avoid in future. Avoid snacks and other junks and from the beginning and replace with fruits and nuts.Here are few options.. Breakfast - idli, dosa, pongal, oats, chapati soaked n sambar or milk, upma, poha, potato mash, banana mash, ragi porridge, multigrain porridge, Lunch - rice with milk, dal, watery sambar, any veggie rice, Khicidi, for snacks you czn choose veggies n fruits cheese panner eggs dinner chapatis, rice is a still a good option, khicidi, dosa idly
