#asktheexperts My son will turn 4y in October. he still breastfeed at night for sleeping. not sure whether he is getting milk or not.. is it bad for him?

A. Breastfeeding a 4-year-old is uncommon today but certainly not abnormal. Extended breastfeeding, defined as continued nursing beyond 1 year of age, has not been shown to cause the child psychological or developmental harm.
