Q.

#asktheexperts my son will be turning one year on 9th march 2021 but in find his weight less as per his age.his birth weight was 3.5kgs and now he is 9kgs.is this normal

A. Hello ma’am See it is normally said if the birth weight triples by the age of 12 months that is very very healthy so your child’s weight should be somewhere around 10.5 kgs by this time.. If you go by that philosophy the weight is less but if the child is having a weight of 8 to 10 kgs also by the age of 12 months that is also considered healthy so I would not advise you to worry about it as such
