Q.

#asktheexperts My son was born on 29th Oct 2024. He was a premature baby born in the 8th month as the due date was approx 6th Dec 2024. I have observed that his milestone (Like crawling , standing, walking) was delayed. So is there a possibility that his speaking milestone would also be delayed? As for now he is able to say Mumma, Papa clearly.

A. With a premature child the total growth can be seen delayed by a month or two which is completely normal and if your child is only speaking Mama it’s normal to be seen with most of the kids communicate with your child to enhance the level of communication and speech of your child
