#asktheexperts my son is 5.5 months old he is doing poop once in week is it normal

Siddhi SharmaMom of a 3 yr 2 m old girl2 years agoA. Yes Totally normal if the baby is Pooping in 7-8 days also a baby can poop 7-8 times in a Day So If there is Weight gain and proper feeding not to Worry

It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also.
The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi solid to ssolid or semi liquid then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool
Also straining and crying while passing urine and stool is very normal.
the crying dof the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation
