#asktheexperts my son has too much of cough he couldn't sleep please doctor help me I was giving ascoril ls junior 2ml morning and night .. while sleeping he is making too much noise he suffering to breath

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paravfcetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

shilpi BhandariMom of 4 children4 years agoA. hello mom along with medication You can give your child steam at least three times a day rub Vicks on his feet and make him wear socks for instant relief from cough give him mixture of honey Tulsi juice and Ginger juice 3 times a day
