Q.

#asktheexperts my son has not passed motion since 4 days .. he is breastfed exclusively..This never happened before.. he gets too cranky in the evening since the day he has not passed motions.. what could be the reason

A. it is very common and normal for small children who are less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also also sometimes children will pass stool 7 or 8 times per day also and that is also normal and if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour of stool you will have to meet your doctor if the consistency is very watery and the child is uncomfortable or there is blood in the stool Also straining while passing urine and stool is normal no treatment is required at this stage

A. Give gastrica Five drops to your child twice a day that should work for you it is very common and normal for kids not to pass motion for certain days but in this case since you are saying that your child is having discomfort then you give this medicine that will help you
