Q.

#asktheexperts my son birth weight was 2.7 kg on 30th july and on 8th December his weight was 5.1 kg . is it perfect or not? as per growth chart his weight should be between 6.2 to 8 kg.i am worried about his weight.his on breastfeeding.can u suggest someway to increase weight?

A. give only breastmilk till completion of six months. child should double it's birth weight by completion of six months and triples by one year. start vitamin d and multivitamins supplements regularly

A. Consider these general guidelines for infant growth in the first year: From birth to age 6 months, a baby might grow 1/2 to 1 inch (about 1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) a month and gain 5 to 7 ounces (about 140 to 200 grams) a week. Expect your baby to double his or her birth weight by about age 5 months.
