#asktheexperts My nine month old baby girl is having green poop for four months and smells too. what is the reason ?

A. the green colour that many times is present in the stool is due to the digestive enzymes (bile )present in the stomach and when the fosod reacts with the digestive enzymes this can give green colour to the stool. the importance is of consistency of the stool so if the consistency is watery and green then only you need to meet the docztor but if it is semi solid to solid green stool then no need to meet the doctor.

A. good evening I would recommend you to try to visit your doctor for a proper clinical examination green poop usually indicates that the child is having some or the other infection in the body
