Q.

#asktheexperts My daughter will be 4 months on 15th. My bm supply is less so she is 80% dependant on fm. Is it ok if she takes fm. And during night once she drinks fm at 11 she directly wakes up at 7. Is this much gap ok.

A. dear parent, as long as the baby is active and having a normal weight gain it is absolutely okay to sleep for this much time

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking breastfeeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment. if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate breastfeeding

A. Nope It is absolutely fine it is not much of a gap so need not worry about that if a child is sleeping peacefully for 7 to 10 hours also during the night time without taking of it and that is considered very normal so feed child only when your child wakes up in the morning and demands for the feet
