#asktheexperts my daughter is having cough n she coughing alot I tried al home remedies n also dr medin n nw she is trying to remove cough bt it nt getting out n due to it she crying alot what shud I do hw cough cn get out n she is nt doing potty also frm 2days plz sugest smthg so that she can get fast relief

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and feever.. which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

A. Eucalyptus essential oil can be used to calm a cough in several ways. A person may want to try: adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil to 1 ounce of carrier oil and rubbing the mixture onto the chest and throat. diluting eucalyptus oil in boiling water and inhaling the steam.
