#asktheexperts my child Saksham is a Beta Thalassemia Major patient & he is 6 year 1 month now .He is on Iron chelation and Regular Blood Transfusions Should we consider BMT .How successful is BMT with a fully matched sibling donor.Where to consider for BMT?

Chances are quite high it’s a successful procedure but I will not advise you to go ahead with it without taking a proper understanding of the situation and also getting 100% assurance this is going to work you have to confirm with two or three doctors before you go with it
