Q.

#asktheexperts my child is passing stool more than once in a day. nowadays I have noticed that hos stool is not completely digested. is it due to teething or some other reason

A. it is normal that when you start food after 6 months of age you may see undigested food directly in the stool of the child. this undigested food may be seen till maximum 1 year of age. that's fine and it is due to immature gastrointestinal system. the development process is still going on in the food digestion. if the child is not having any other complaints like loose motion or gas formation you can continue that particular food. it is advisable that till the time the child is not able to chew the food propey you may have to give blended diet and food and fruits.

A. during the initial one or two months and sometimes up to four or five months it is very normal that children will have slightly undigested food but due to some immaturity present at this age it is normal and after one year of age the food begins to digest more properly
