#asktheexperts My baby was born on 02nd September, 2021. She was 3.4 kg at birth. Today at 3 months and 10 days her wait is 5.4 kg. Is it normal or it is less?

A. child should double it's birth weight by completion of six months and triples by one year. give only breastmilk till completion of six months for healthy growth and weight gain

A. Consider these general guidelines for infant growth in the first year: From birth to age 6 months, a baby might grow 1/2 to 1 inch (about 1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) a month and gain 5 to 7 ounces (about 140 to 200 grams) a week. Expect your baby to double his or her birth weight by about age 5 months.
