Q.

#asktheexperts My baby was born at 34 weeks, birth weight was 2.3 kgs. Currently at 8 months he is weighing about 10 kgs and is a tall baby too. Should I be worried about his weight? Is he overweight? Demand fed only

A. Look the best part is despite of being underweight at the time of birth because 2.5 to 3 kg is ideally good okay your child has taken up so well and very clearly stated that your child is taller than usual child so this kind of weight would be justified because I have seen the similar situation with my own child and the doctor say when the child is tall by the time of birth as per the parents genetics it’s completely fine for a child to have a little bit of extra weight as per the regular age of the child
