#asktheexperts My baby is passing stools only after 5 or 6 days.. Is it normal?

A. It is very normal that infants and newborns may not pass stool for more than 10 days also and sometimes the frequency can be around 6 to 7 times per day also. Both the above frequency of stool passdage is normal if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid. if the consistendcy is not hard then it is not constipation and intermittent crying is due to the colic pain due to gas
