#asktheexperts my baby is completing 6 month what should I give as diet

A. dear mum, once baby completes 6 months, you can begin with foods like porridges (like rice, Ragi, wheat flour , moong dal and rice flour mix) , kheer then dal-rice with vegetables, veg khichadi, soft mashed fruits, curd. later mashed paneer. consistency of food should be like that of ghee avoid water thin foods like thin dals and rice water, soups. Squeeze lemon in baby's food for iron absorption. start with 3-4 tsp and then about half katori per meal about 2 to 3 meals per day. give 1 food for about 3-6 days for baby to accept and to see how baby tolerates it then introduce another new food.

A. good evening I would recommend you to try to give your child fresh fruit puree of apple and banana you can introduce nestlé cerelac to the child you may also give tender coconut water rice water
