#asktheexperts My baby is 8 month old and is very active but she’s gained only 500gm in past 40 days. Her birth weight was 2.23 and her current weight is around 6.6kg. Is it okay and what can i do for her weight gain

A. Thank you for replying. What would you suggest doing as I am already giving her khichdi, fruits and Ragi porridge

A. The child is little behind the expected weight gain but still it is average as per the birth weight I would just recommend you from the age of nine months onwards you should start giving all the family foods like Roti everything with good vegetarian protein which will help in developing better growth and weight of your child
