A. Ideal weight of a 7 months old baby girl should be between 7.6 to 8 kgs depending on eating patterns and birth weight. To help the baby gain weight, from 8th month onwards, you can introduce some new foods like told of a boiled egg, chicken soup, mashed boiled potatoes, legumes, oats with dry fruits, etc. Right now, you can feed lentil puree, apple, pear and carrot puree, ragi and sooji porridge, home made cerelac, mashed banaba, mixed vegetable soup, etc. 3 times a day alongwith 3-4 times milk.
