#asktheexperts My baby is 6.5 months. She weighs 6.8 kg birth weight was 2.9 kg. Doctor suggested to give top feed. Is it necessary?

Looking at the birthweight of the child current weight is fine because it is double the birth rate or more than double the birthweight so it is fine but if your doctor says to give formula feeding maybe they are expecting a better weight gain for the child that’s why they may have suggested but it’s not mandatory because the current weight seems fine
