#asktheexperts my baby is 4 month old.four days earlier i had some cold n cough n i took antibiotic n cough syrup.my baby is on bm+fm.now from two days he is not drinking fm n bm b bht kam le raha h.is it because of .y medicines

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose bccan be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

It Maybe take a new child is rejecting breastfeeding but if your child is not even having formula feeding then a question could be a child maybe getting its teeth which is why due to discomfort and irritation maybe your child is not interested in either of the things
