Q.

#asktheexperts My baby is 2 months and 24 days old. He's on both breastmilk and Formula. He's been fed formula about 100 ML each time about 3 to 4 times a day and rest of the time breastmilk. the colour of his poop is always different. sometimes bright yellow, yellow with green, greenish. sometimes it is yellow with greenish-black mucous. is it normal? if not, what should I do?

A. Babies who are formula fed, the color of their poop is mostly green or dark. This is due to the iron content present in formula which results in this change in color. There is no need to worry about it as it is normal. As he/she is breastfed too that is why sometimes it is yellowish too. As long as he poops regularly and does not show any sign of uncomfortable, it is fine.
