Q.
#asktheexperts my baby is 2 month old , since he had cold and form from past one week , he is not drooling from past 3 days . And again the ghar ghar has started since morning . He has stuffy nose , and should I continue the medicine the paediatrician had suggested for form ? Or should I continue steam and nasal drops ?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor accordhking to thte type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
