#asktheexperts My baby is 16 months. She is having green poop since today morning.. what to do?

A. the green colour that many times is present in the stool is due to the digestive enzymes (bile )present in the stomach and when the food reacts withx the digestive enzymes this can give green colour to the stool. the importance is of consistency of the stool so if the consistencys is watery and green then only you need to meet the doctor but if it is semi solid to solid green stool then no need to meet the doctor.

A. If it is not a loose motion then it is not a problem it could probably be that you have given something particularly green in colour to your child to eat and that can actually turn the motion colour for the child to be totally green
