Q.

#asktheexperts My baby is 14 months old and she is only 7.4 kg her birth weight is 2.5kg. Her activities are good. Recently she had undergone inguinal hernia surgery. Will this effect her weight?

A. Weight gain in a child is a good indicator for proper health of the child and there should be a regular weight gain as per the age of the child. if there is not a proper weight gain it can be because of many factors and three most important causes are Baby not taking enough calories Baby is noth absorbing the enough calories which the baby is taking Baby is burning too many calories . So a proper vassessment is very important to know the cause regarding this .

A. Hello dear parent! You shouldn’t be worrying too much. As long as your baby is active and normal, all is well. Gradually include all food groups in your child’s diet that is healthy and staple in your family. Serve foods in cute Babyhug stainless steel bowls and plates to encourage healthy eating.
