A. To address a pacifier habit in your infant, consider gradually reducing their reliance on the pacifier by limiting its use to certain times (such as nap or bedtime) and gradually weaning them off during awake hours. Engage your baby in other soothing techniques, such as gentle rocking, singing, or offering a favorite toy for comfort. Encourage self-soothing skills by providing opportunities for your baby to calm themselves without the pacifier. Establish a consistent bedtime routine that does not involve the pacifier to help your infant learn to fall asleep without it. Be patient and understanding during this transition period, as breaking a pacifier habit can take time and may involve some resistance from your baby.
