#asktheexperts My baby is 1 year old and he is not gaining weight properly. At the end of 6 months he was 7.2kg and at present he is 7.9kg. He poops during every meal so each day he poops around 3 to 4 times. What is the best solution for this doctor?

A. Good Growth of the child is very important and for this most important is that child should take a healthy diet where its necessary to give a balance diet which should contain all the nutrition required. This is very important for building the immunity also. Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc. Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most common. Suppleffments like iron supplements and multivitamin with lysine like syp zincovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetivte. Diet counselling is also very important .
